Acupuncture is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. Although this style of medicine has been used for thousands of years in China and other Asian countries, its popularity in the West has grown significantly only in the last few decades.
People today are struggling to keep pace with hectic and demanding lives. There are many physical and psychological side effects that stress has on our bodies. One of the many benefits of acupuncture is that it helps to keep us in balance. When we are run-down, eating poorly, are not getting enough downtime or are becoming sleep-deprived, our bodies and minds become vulnerable to disease.
